The Goulandris Museum of Natural History is a public benefit institution dedicated to the study, conservation and protection of the natural environment.

Since its inception in 1964, it has charted a pioneering course, a new approach to man with the natural environment. It has developed an active scientific activity to tackle and halt environmental threats to the planet and to restore the natural resources that sustain life. At the same time, he created a new universal value education for human reintegration into the functions and economy of Nature.

The GNHM has two virtual tour applications, one for the Natural History Museum and one for its Branch in the island of Crete, the Mastaba Paleontological Museum of Rethymnon, which cover the full range of the two Museums’ Permanent Exhibitions.

The innovative design of applications, in addition to user-friendly digital navigation, includes ‘windows’ with points of interest that the interested party can choose to navigate further, in close-up visual material, narration of information and subtitles.
