Descriptive lexicon of birds of GreeceN. Apalodimos
This 450 page book is the second, revised edition of the lexicon of Greek birds published by the Museum in 1988. As in the first edition, it contains all scientific and popular names of birds. The species of birds are presented in genuses and families. The book also contains sketches and colour plates presenting the following groups: endangered, extinct, rare visitors, huntable and protected.

This 320 page publication presents shells from Greek coasts. It contains 330 illustrations and descriptions and an index of 940 species living in Greece. Special chapters provide data on the morphology, physiology, anatomy and location of those organisms in the sea environment as well as data on collecting and conservation of sea shells and their relationship with man. The texts on the wildflowers are by the amateur botanist and collector Constantine Goulimis and the scientific supervision is by W.T. Stearn. The reptiles of Greece and CyprusJ. Ioannidis and A. Dimitropoulos
It is the first systematic presentation of all the reptiles found in Greece and Cyprus. It is a manual for the identification of all the species, some of which are rare. For the first time, most local names are mentioned. The book also includes references to many local traditions concerning reptiles. It contains 39 identification tables, 110 colour photographs of reptiles and biotopes, as well as numerous detailed sketches.
