BIODIVERSITY.EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

An exciting exhibition that reminds us that nothing around us can function independently!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

New Educational Programs<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The National Museum of Natural History Goulandris, a long-standing pioneer in education and public awareness on environmental issues, recognizing the degradation and loss of biodiversity as one of the major global challenges, is implementing the program \u201cBIODIVERSITY. EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED\u201d. The program is implemented with the support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Through impressive interactive digital applications, using cutting-edge visual and tactile technologies, holographic and panoramic projections, stunning audiovisual productions, and natural specimens, the exhibition highlights the interconnectedness of life. It stimulates the mind, evokes emotion, transfers knowledge, deepens understanding, interprets and decodes the concept of biodiversity\u2014a term we so often hear.<\/p>\n

The exhibition and the specially designed Educational Programs remind us that biodiversity is not just a list of species. It is the struggle of those species to survive, their evolution over billions of years, the genes that make each of us unique, the ecosystems\u2014the habitats where organisms live\u2014, their relationships with one another, and their interactions with the environment.<\/p>\n

Biodiversity is the web of life to which we all belong, and our very existence is inextricably connected to its preservation.<\/p>\n

The exhibition \u201cBIODIVERSITY. EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED\u201d unpacks the concept of biodiversity, emphasizes its multi-faceted importance for our lives and the planet\u2019s equilibrium, explores the pressures and threats it faces -such as climate change, underscores the need to redefine our way of life, and highlights that on this planet, everything and everyone is interconnected.<\/p>\n

The educational programs will be implemented both in person at the Museum and online, reaching students in schools across Greece, as well as Greek-speaking schools and educational institutions throughout Europe.<\/p>\n
