The installation was developed with the active contribution of EYDAP in the design and curation of its content, showcasing—through modern applications and expertise—the importance of sustainable water resource management.

The new exhibit significantly enriches the visitor experience, focusing on the importance of water in everyday life and the need for its rational management. It is structured around three main thematic axes:

The Water Cycle: the journey of water through the natural recycling system.

From Source to Tap: the path of water and the stages of treatment until it reaches the consumer clean and safe.

Water Reuse: the potential to utilize treated wastewater from everyday activities, contributing to resource savings.

This new interactive installation demonstrates how, through modern water recovery technologies, it is possible to extract and treat water on-site from the sewage network. The treated water can be reused for secondary purposes such as irrigation, industrial use, etc.

At the same time, the role of Wastewater Treatment Plants is presented, where used water is cleaned of up to 95% of its pollutant load, enabling its reuse or safe return to the natural environment.

Through its participation in the project, EYDAP reaffirms its consistent commitment to innovation, environmental education, and responsible water resource management. The goal is to strengthen citizens’ environmental awareness and promote a circular economy culture, especially among younger generations, through experiential learning.

The inauguration of the exhibit took place in the presence of the Chairman of the EYDAP Board of Directors, Giorgos Stergiou, the CEO of EYDAP, Haris Sachinis, as well as the Executive Director of the Goulandris Natural History Museum, Evgenia Christodoulakou, Board Member Nicole Kyriakopoulou, and other museum representatives.

The Executive Director of the Museum noted, among other things:
“For us, EYDAP is a true strategic partner with whom we share a common and meaningful vision: strengthening environmental education and cultivating a new relationship between citizens—especially children—and our natural environment. Thanks to your support, our Climate Change exhibition is enriched with another important stop dedicated to water recycling. Water recycling is critically important for both the future of our country and our daily lives. This collaboration demonstrates in practice that when a public utility and a scientific-educational institution join forces, they can create knowledge, inspire action, and contribute substantially to shaping a sustainable relationship with the environment. Ultimately, what we achieve together is something truly meaningful for our society.”

The CEO of EYDAP stated, among other things:
“The collaboration with the Goulandris Natural History Museum is of particular importance for EYDAP, as it focuses on fostering environmental awareness and awakening, especially today when the climate crisis demands vigilance and the adoption of new technologies across all sectors of the economy. EYDAP, a pioneer in holistic water cycle management, also has a responsibility to lead in environmental education, with an emphasis on water and its protection.
