The Museum’s Zoology exhibition takes visitors on a journey to every corner of the Earth. From Australia, home to monotremes and marsupials: the platypus, echidna, kangaroos, and koalas, to the wild habitats of placental mammals.

In the African savanna, families of lions, leopards, and baboons can be found.

In the tropical forests of Southeast Asia, the tiger and Malaysian bear live among dense vegetation, while the cold coniferous forests of Central Asia are home to the rare snow leopard and Himalayan black bear. The jaguar represents the Amazon rainforest, and the bison represents the forests of North America.

The African section is rich and impressive, featuring a giraffe, a zebra, an African buffalo, the rare white rhinoceros, and kudu antelope. Among the predators, lions, leopards, and cheetahs stand out.

The Mediterranean monk seal, one of Europe’s most endangered mammals, holds a special place.

Visitors can also admire key representatives of Greece’s mammals, such as the bear, the wolf, and the roe deer.
