The Museum’s Summer Camp is back this year at the National Museum of Natural History Goulandris!
The Summer Camp gives children the opportunity to make the most of their summer vacation by participating in activities that promote creativity, adventure, knowledge, and discovery. The program includes educational activities, scientific knowledge, and an introduction to the Museum in specially designed, modern, and safe spaces where children can socialize and have fun.
Children interact with peers, forming friendships based on shared interests. They experiment and explore areas they might not encounter in their daily lives, discovering new skills along the way.

Description:
Grades 1–3 | “Engineers of the Future”
Children begin their journey into basic programming logic (ScratchJr). Through play, they create their first code and understand algorithmic thinking. They learn to observe and analyze the world around them.
They explore basic mechanical construction principles, including gears, pulleys, levers, wheels, and axles. By investigating and experimenting, children collaborate and build knowledge themselves, creating increasingly complex models using appropriate construction materials. They learn experimentally the usefulness of Simple Machines, understand energy, introduce motors and batteries, and bring their models to life.
Grades 4–6 | “Conquering Space”
Children discover the basic principles of Physics, Electricity, Electromagnetism, Optics, Biology, and Communication Technologies used by humans to create life-friendly environments and colonize planets in the Solar System. Using materials, they construct the necessary supplies to transport life into space and, through collaboration and problem-solving, embark on a journey to the planets.
