PARTICIPATION OF THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY GOULANDRIS AT THE SNF NOSTOS FESTIVAL 2026

The National Museum of Natural History Goulandris is participating in the celebrations marking the 30th anniversary of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, as well as in the events of the SNF Nostos Festival 2026, which will take place at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) from 21 to 28 June 2026.

As part of the festival, the Museum will host a two-hour outreach and awareness activity on Wednesday, 24 June, entitled: “Life Everywhere! A Journey into Biodiversity.”

The activity will take place at Yiannis’ Café – Stavros Niarchos Park, and will be open to the public with free admission.

We invite you to embark on a fascinating journey into biodiversity through specimens and selected objects from the collections of the National Museum of Natural History Goulandris. A small “window” will open onto the wondrous world of nature, revealing stories of adaptation and survival that often go unnoticed.

Children and adults alike will have the opportunity to observe the wings of a butterfly, the complex eyes of an insect, and microscopic details of plants and animals. They will handle shells from seas around the world, uncover their hidden secrets, play memory and knowledge games, and create masks and drawings inspired by nature.

An interactive experience for the whole family, reminding us that life exists everywhere and that every form of it has value.
