The display begins with mountain birds, including golden eagles, bearded vultures, griffons, and other raptors.
Forests feature jackdaws, owls, magpies, blackbirds, partridges, crows, and many more, while smaller birds such as nightingales and goldfinches, as well as hoopoes and cuckoos, perch on trees.
Lakes and estuaries host storks, swans, herons, colorful ducks, and geese. Sandy beaches and rocky shores are home to gulls, cormorants, kingfishers, and the peregrine falcon.
The African bird collection showcases the sacred ibis, African spoonbill, Ethiopian kingfisher, colorful sunbirds, turacos, and the rare Central American Quetzal.
