THE GOULANDRIS MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY HAS BEEN DECLARED A NATIONAL MUSEUM

The Goulandris Museum of Natural History (GMNH) has been officially proclaimed as the National Museum of Natural History under Article 38 of Law 5106/2024 (Government Gazette A 63/01.05.2024 of the Ministry of Environment and Energy): "Regulations to address the Multilevel Impacts of Climate Change"!

THE DEPARTMENT OF TERRESTRIAL ZOOLOGY OF THE GOULANDRIS NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM PARTICIPATED IN THE COMPILATION OF THE RED LISTS OF THREATENED SPECIES OF PLANTS, ANIMALS, AND FUNGI OF GREECE.

Dr Maria Dimaki, Head of the Department of Terrestrial Zoology, participated in the joint project of the Natural Environment and Climate Change Agency” (N.E.C.C.A), the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the Hellenic Botanical Society, and the Hellenic Zoological Society "Compilation of Red Lists of Threatened Species of Plants, Animals, and Fungi of Greece."

THE BOTANICAL DEPARTMENT OF THE GOULANDRIS NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM PARTICIPATED IN THE COMPILATION OF THE RED LISTS OF THREATENED SPECIES OF PLANTS, ANIMALS, AND FUNGI OF GREECE

Dr Dionysios Mermigkas, Head of the Botanical Department of the Goulanfris Natural History Museum Museum, participated in the Project "Compilation of Red Lists of Threatened Species of Plants, Animals, and Fungi of Greece" by assessing 96 species of plants, 17 of which are endemic to Greece.
