THE 2024 NEW YEAR’S CAKE CEREMONY AT THE GOULANDRI NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM

The traditional Greek New Year’s pie of the Goulandris Natural History Museum was cut on Monday, January 22, in the presence of the staff, volunteers, partners and FRIENDS. The 2024 welcoming ceremony took place in the ATRIUM of the GAIA Center.

In her speech, the President of the Museum, Fali Vogiatzaki, referred to Climate Change a critical issue for the entire humanity, and the new crucial role of Museum as the National Museum of Natural History. *

She proceeded with enumerating the prominent achievements of the Museum and its people in 2023, such as the creation of the Periodical Exhibition “Angelos Goulandris: Cosmonaut on Earth” and the realization of the big energy upgrade project of the Museum.

Finally, she thanked the staff, the volunteers and all those who contributed to the past year’s achievements.

The event ended with the President Fali Vogiatzaki cutting the cake and lucky draw gifts, and a banquet with the attendees exchanging warm wishes for the New Year.
