On Wednesday, May 15th, 2024, the Judging Committee of the 3rd Panhellenic Pupils’ Painting Competition "Niki Goulandris" titled "A shell at the bottom of the sea" chose the 12 best paintings. The competition worked through School Units and was addressed to Primary Education pupils.

Children who like drawing can now find 2 folders containing 20 animal designs each, at the Museum’s Shop! These are 40 animals from e-Coloring, the much-loved entertaining and educational online activity for children, that our Museum continues posting on our website!
On Saturday 9th March 2024, we hosted at Sparoza Estate the third of our Botanical Painting workshops with the artist Matina Galati. The purpose of the workshops is to encourage visitors to immerse themselves in the garden over the course of a morning, spending time observing the plants really closely and creating beautiful botanical paintings en plein air!
The last issue of the British Magazine "Gardens Illustrated" featured an extended article the Sparoza Estate, located in Paiana and bequeathed in 1983 to the Goulandris Natural History Museum!
Sparoza is an experimental waterwise garden of Goulandris Natrural History Museum on the outskirts of Athens, created and developed by two extraordinary women - the renowned urban planner Jacky Tyrwhitt (1905-1983) and, subsequently, the artist and plantswoman Sally Razelou (1931-2021).
